This project combines simple and elegant with and a bit of embroidery. I love the look of warm wool on cotton background, but if wool isn't your thing, then do it all in cotton. Even beginners can handle this hand embroidery, because I include a BIG layout image so you can see all my embroidery close up. And the embroidery is not difficult, just a bit of hand stitching using back stitching. The holly berries are felted wool, so they just need a french knot to lock them in place, because felted wool wont fray.
